The following subjects were discussed: VMRC may require a State license to dredge. A safety course through the Department of Mines, Minerals, etc. may also be required. Relating to that we are still planning on having another Miner's Safety Class for the club so if you are interested, let us know. Our Claims Director could not be at the last meeting so we had no update on talks with the VMRC--we should have that at the next meeting. Next, Ned read the letter he received from Walt Eason of GPAA officially recognizing CVGP as again being a member of GPAA.They will also be sending us a kit with items we can use for our raffles, which are our main source of funds for the club. Also, we are again listed in the GPAA magazine. Harry McElhone, Vice President, spoke about a club outing he is working on, possibly to Vein Mountain, NC August 24- 30, 2003. Anyone interested in going needs to let us know AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. You do not have to go for the whole week. Please contact Harry directly at harrymc@ezy.net Grady Hampton brought a large supply of buckets and they were given out to members--Thanks Grady!!!!!!!! If you are joining the GPAA, be sure to tell them you belong to CVGP so we will get credit. HOPE TO SEE ALL OF YOU AT THE UPCOMING MEETING!!!!!!!!!!
