Report on March 15, 2008 Meeting The meeting was called to order by Vice President Buddy Albert with approximately 66 members and guest present. Buddy began the meeting by opening the floor for nominations for president. Sandy Stowe brought up the issue of who could vote according to our existing by-laws. Main concern was who was allowed to vote, GPAA members only, Land Fee owners or CVGP members in good standing. Robin addressed that in the past 3 years historically we have had land fee members vote on those issues that dealt with the land use and concerns and CVGP members vote on club issues. Ben Vaughan announced that the EGPA has rescinded its offer to the CVGP to join. Nominations were made for president. The following were nominated Bob Stowe, Jack Wyatt, and Robin Adair. At this time Robin with drew his name from the nominations. Sandy Stowe address the issue who can vote and it was decided that the CVGP members on the directory and had attended at least one meeting can vote. Ballots were handed out and count was done, Jack Wyatt had 34 votes and Bob Stowe had 31 votes. Buddy Albert watched as the votes were counted three times to be sure of a fair vote. A vote was also taken of all members present to be sure that it was a fair vote, that we had ballots to match members present. A motion was made to accept the count and it was 2nd. Jack Wyatt took over the meeting at this time. First issue of business was to have the meeting location changed due to conflict of interest. Ben Vaughan spoke up and said no more meetings for CVGP will be held at Loving Gold. A motion was made to either end the meeting until next month or continue. There was a motion was that we finish the meeting and it was 2nd. Sandy Stowe was given the floor to speak. At this time she addressed her issues and concerns over things that had been said or written. She pointed out certain members and what they wrote, whiter by emails or letters and also their attendance to the meetings. At the end of her discussion Sandy and Bob Stowe resigned as club officers. Jack asked to see if we wanted to wait till the next meeting to elect officers or have the election now. The members decided that we needed to elect officers now. Robin Adair nominated Lynne Shaw, and she accepted the position. A motion was made and 2nd. Lynne Shaw nominated Robin Adair for treasure and he accepted a motion was made and 2nd. Robin Adair gave the treasures report, according to the records that were given to him at the meeting. Land Fees will be collected at the April Meeting, please attend so you can sign the waiver. The Alaska trip will be discussed at the next meeting, and if we are going to cancel we need to do so by the end of April to receive the refund on our deposit. All other business will be addressed next meeting. A motion was made to nullify all votes made at the January meeting and it was 2nd. All CVGP members please be patient while we make our transition. We are waiting to transfer all club information, monies and equipment. So if we miss something please let us know, and if you have a new email, address please let me know.
